I always work on my own projects throughout the year. These provide me with images that I can send to my photo & press agencies. They also help me to find species and run some of my one to ones and workshops.
The projects I work on are always seasonal and in many ways dependant on visitors to our shores and the breeding season when nature is at its busiest.
Each time you enter nature you always learn something new, whether it be about the subjects behaviour or fieldcraft technic. You must always put the subjects welfare before any images you take. Remembering at all times you are a guest in their world.
I wanted to share a few images from my projects so far, from Little Grebes, Brown Hares, Water voles, Short-eared Owls and Barn Owls.
I find my own work, I always work with what is given to me by nature. I change nothing, there is no set ups, bait or trickery involved within my photography. I learn and respect the species, and work alongside them to get my images.
Working on your own projects is so important and a great way of crafting your craft as we never stop learning as photographers. Respect nature, always work ethically and with integrity.
