Each time you enter nature you always learn something new, whether it be about the subjects behaviour or fieldcraft technic. You must always put the subjects welfare before any images you take. Remembering you are a guest in their world.
Nature always knows you’re there way before you even see anything. It’s how you manage that first contact that counts.
That first contact with nature is very special but comes with a great responsibility not to stress the subject with your presence.
Fieldcraft, respect and ethics are things that should come way before your photographs.
I find my own work, I always work with what is given to me by nature. I change nothing, there is no set ups, bait or trickery involved within my photography. I learn and respect the species, and work alongside them to get my images.
Working on your own projects is so important and a great way of crafting your craft as we never stop learning as photographers. Respect nature, always work ethically and with integrity.
I wanted to share a few images from previous projects of Little Grebes, Brown Hares, Water voles, Short-eared Owls, Marsh Harriers and Barn Owls.
